Flowering Vines Webinar

I’m really excited about next month’s Webinar featuring stunning flowering vines and how to use them creatively in the landscape. I’ve been adding many new varieties that are also ideal for containers. The live broadcast is Thursday, July 27 at 2:00 p.m. EST.

One of the few flowering vines that tolerates shade is False Climbing Hydrangea (Schizophragma hydrangeoides), also known as Japanese Hydrangea Vine. Schizophragma ‘Rose Sensation’ has soft pink, lace-cap flowers in early summer. ‘Rose Sensation’ can be grown as a climber (it has aerial roots that attaches to a surface) or used as a ground cover. It differs from Climbing Hydrangea (Hydrangea anomala petiolaris) in that the flowers are a different shape plus False Climbing Hydrangea clings more closely to a surface than Climbing Hydrangea. ‘Rose Sensation’ will grow to 20’ – 30’ and is hardy in Zones 5 – 9. It flowers on old wood, so if pruning is needed, do so after it finishes blooming.

The 60+ minute flowering vines presentation includes a lecture handout, the opportunity to ask questions during the Webinar, and a CEU form for green industry professionals and Master Gardeners. Registrants DO NOT HAVE TO ATTEND THE LIVE BROADCAST on July 27. All registrants will receive a link to the lecture and handouts within 72 hours of the broadcast. You can watch the video anytime, and as many times, as you wish!

Here is what a few folks had to say about prior Webinars:

“Just listened to the webinar on Inspired Garden Design lessons. Wonderfully complete and organized. At times I tend to feel overwhelmed with informative talks, but the handout, plus the pictures and the detailed explanations from Kerry Ann were spot on! I learned a lot. Thanks Kerry Ann!” – Sue

“Kerry Ann’s webinars were exciting, colorful, and informative. The notes sent beforehand were absolutely needed — so much information presented. Looking forward to the next one. – Marcy
