Kerry Ann Mendez Presents Adrian Bloom ...

An Inspirational Guide to Understanding Plants and Gardens with Adrian Bloom

I am thrilled to welcome the world-renowned horticulturalist Adrian Bloom, as my featured guest for this lively discussion centered around his new book, Foggy Bottom – A Garden to Share. The one-hour broadcast will be packed with spectacular photographs of Foggy Bottom - a magical collection of conifers, heathers, perennials, grasses, shrubs, and trees that will have you gasping. Adrian will entertain and educate us with his journey from transforming an open meadow to a highly acclaimed masterpiece. He will also share some of his favorite plants as well as design tips. And we will leave time for Adrian to answer your questions at the end.

Adrian Bloom is a legend in the gardening world. He has won numerous garden awards, written more than 10 inspirational gardening books, appeared on countless TV shows, including more recently in Carol Klein’s 2021 ‘Great British Garden’ series, and developed Foggy Bottom - a breathtaking 6-acre collection of gardens featuring his favorite plant combinations for stunning year-round color. This garden, combined with his father Alan Bloom’s 6-acres of island perennial beds, make up The Bressingham Gardens, a destination public garden in Diss, England.  Adrian has also designed and planted gardens in several countries, including the MassHortGarden at Elm Bank (Wellesley, MA) and The Steven M. Still Perennial Garden at Chadwick Arboretum (Columbus, OH).

Foggy Bottom – A Garden to Share, is available from the Book Bin. Click here to order it. For more information about the book, visit Adrian’s webpage.

"Kerry Ann has a wonderful, clear speaking style, and is obviously very familiar with the gardening world. I had no trouble following her plant commentary on the Radical Perennials Webinar, which is very detailed so I know which will plants work in my garden and which may not.

She is inspiring, and I’ve made many notes of her recommendations that I will purchase and add to my garden in the Spring." - Pam

More Information

An Inspirational Guide to Understanding Plants and Gardens with Adrian Bloom is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Grab your cameras and get ready to discover some VIPs (Very Important Plants) for the New Year. But just because they are attention-getters doesn’t mean they require prima-donna care. I have trialed many of these myself and they have received my stamp of approval for no-fuss gardens. This presentation is best suited for gardeners in hardiness Zones 3-8.

Included in this supplement will be a form for Master Gardeners and Landscape Architects to fill out and submit for continuing education credit hour approval.

You do not need to be present for the live webinar on April 13 at 11:00 a.m. All participants will receive a download link for the lecture following the presentation. That way, you can watch and listen to it at your convenience and replay all or parts of it on demand.

It’s almost like you’re attending one of my lectures held at venues across the Northeast and Midwest - because actually, you are! Just virtually.

The registration fee for this webinar lecture is $18.95.

This is a “must read” for everyone who registers for a webinar.
