WaterEase Self-Watering Pots

Gardener’s Supply Company is constantly coming up with brilliant new gardening products. Their WaterEase Self-Watering Planters bring self-watering containers to a new level!

These beautiful pieces have an adjustable Smart-Port Reservoir to ensure plants (flowers or edibles) receive optimal watering in all conditions. Raise and lower the port to adjust the amount of water held in the reservoir. For water-loving plants or containers in hot, sunny locations, the port can be kept closed to allow a maximum water supply to roots (the reservoir holds 2.5 quarts of water).

The port can also be set at various points to fine-tune how much water is accessible to the roots, a perfect solution for plants that hate wet soil (if plants have been over-watered either manually or from natural rainfall). The see-through port lets you monitor the water level in the reservoir so you always know when it’s time to refill. A small funnel (included) fits into the port for easy filling with a watering can or hose.

These UV-stabilized polypropylene containers come in three colors – violet, white and black. Each holds 12 quarts of self-watering container mix and is 11″ in diameter x 10.5″ tall. The containers, exclusive to Gardener’s Supply, retail for $26.95. Click here for more info and pictures.
