Unique Garden Design and Remarkable Plants Classes
Years ago when I lived in upstate New York, I offered three hour, in-depth flower gardening classes that were highly popular. Now that I am finally settled in Maine, it is time to bring them back. As of now, I am scheduled to teach the following class in five states at six different locations:
Designing a High-Impact, Low-Maintenance Flower Garden Featuring Remarkable Perennials, Flowering Shrubs and Annuals
Learn easy to implement steps for creating stunning, four season flower gardens. Topics include site assessment; plant selection for continuous color spring through fall; design principles and techniques for beautiful, sustainable beds; arranging plants based on mature heights; creating focal points; plus drafting a design to scale and building a plant list. The second half of the class focuses on superior, time-tested perennials, flowering shrubs and annuals as well as their care. Presentation includes colorful pictures of plants and design techniques. A form for CEU’s will be available for Master Gardeners, Landscape Architects, Certified Horticulturists and others. (photos and design by Penny O’Sullivan)
The $49 class registration fee includes the 3-hour class, lots of handouts, plant catalogs, light refreshments and door prizes. ALL registrations go through Perennially Yours.
