Rising Concern over Green Oasis Floral Foam

My friend and garden design client, Elaine DiGiovanni, recently shared a video that she and two other floral designers posted on YouTube. Elaine, is a nationally accredited master flower show judge with National Garden Clubs, Inc., and has won many top awards in horticulture and floral design, including being named flower arranger of the year in NGC’s 2007 “Vision of Beauty” calendar. She is equally gifted at designing mixed borders and perennial gardens!

Recently Elaine shared with me her serious concern about green oasis floral foam and her mission to educate everyone (garden hobbyist or professional) about the dangers of this foam and to provide alternatives to using it. Here is one article I recently read about the dangers of this commonly used product. Elaine and two other premier floral designers, produced this 19 minute video that offers fantastic floral design ideas as well as creative ways to hold flowers/foliage/stems. I found this educational video very informative and thought-provoking.
