I was delighted with the turnout for last month’s Perennial Plant Collector’s webinar. The feedback was terrific, plus folks loved that the lecture included sources for purchasing these unusual, hardworking plants. (Above photo of Karen Johnson’s Milwaukee garden)

This month’s lively presentation, Remarkable Natives for Beautiful, Planet-Friendly Gardens, on Saturday, February 25 at 11:00 a.m. ET focuses on standout natives (or nativars) that beautify gardens and are a feast for pollinators.  The lecture also covers topics such as what is the difference between a native and a nativar, as well as sources for purchasing healthy native plants.

The one-hour lecture includes 5 pages of notes, door prizes ($100 gift certificate from Avant Gardens; $50 gift certificate from Bluestone Perennials; $50 gift certificate from Great Garden Plants; 10 assorted Proven Harvest veggies with eco-starter pots;  granular and liquid Plantskydd animal repellent to deter rabbits, voles and deer);  as well as a CEU form for Master Gardeners and Green Industry professionals. As with all my webinars, you do not have to attend the live broadcast. All registrants will receive a link to the video recording a few days after each broadcast to watch anytime and as often as they wish.
