Mendez speaks at US Botanic Garden

I had a fabulous time speaking at the U.S. Botanic Garden earlier this month. It was sunny and in the high 70’s. What a change from Maine. The cherry trees were past their peak, but the redbuds, crabapples, snowball viburnums, fothergilla, epimediums and more created a riot of color! If you have never visited the USBG, you have to put this on your bucket list. Gorgeous and highly educational. Here are a few pictures I took while soaking up the sun.
