May and June Open Houses and Plant Sales

SPRING OPEN HOUSES AND JUNE PERENNIAL SALE

In my last newsletter I announced open house dates when I will fling open the garden gate to my perennial gardens.  The May open house is Tuesday, May 24 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  The gardens will be looking spiffy and hopefully provide ideas for plant combinations in your own gardens.  I will not be selling any plants in May.  But there is a change in the original plans for my June open house.  Hopefully one that will make you smile.  I have decided to add another June open house plus extend the hours.  Why?  To offer two full days for selling perennials out of my gardens. Some plants will be potted up ahead of time but many will be nestled in topsoil in a bag for you to take home and plant.  Nothing like a garden ‘basement’ sale to make me swing the old dividing knife.  The June perennial sale will be Thursday and Friday, June 16 and 17 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  As many of you know, my property is small and I live on a quiet residential street so please respect my neighbors when parking and entering my backyard.  I am not a retail garden center and open houses are the only time my property is open to the public.  As always, open houses are rain or shine.  I look forward to welcoming many of you!
