LAST 2012 Open House and Plant Sale on July 13

PERENNIALLY YOURS OPEN HOUSE ON JULY 13!

The garden gate will swing open one more time in 2012.  Thanks to all of you that came to the June open houses.  I am really very touched by how many dear patrons I am blessed with.  I did not plan to have other open house this year BUT the next project on the property is tomove the 4’ cedar lattice fence running down the west side of my property.  We recently had our property surveyed and the end post in the back is set okay BUT the post closest to the road is 1’ 9” off our property.

SOOOO another ‘Big Dig’ will occur this month as the fence gets moved slightly.  As a result, I will need to dig out a few more plants.  Many (including all of the roses) will be repositioned along the new fence line but there are a few that will ‘pack their bags’ and head to new homes.  I am also digging some plants from other beds.  Some goodies for sale include: huge pots of blooming daylilies, Japanese Forest Grass, Clematis, a white Knockout rose, a Gold Dart Ninebark, a espaliered apple tree, Coral Bells, more astilbes, chocolate-leafed Cimicifuga, pots of asiatic and oriental lilies, Japanese Painted Fern, phlox, and more!  The open house is Friday, July 13 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Rain or shine. By that time I will have also had time to do some maintenance on my other gardens so they are looking pretty for you.  As many of you know, my address is 44 Chapman Street, Ballston Spa.

From the South: Take I 87 to Exit 12. Turn left on Rt. 67 West and go 3.3 miles to the traffic light intersection at Rt. 50. Turn right (North) on Rt. 50 and go into the center of Ballston Spa. Turn right on Malta Avenue (there is a Cumberland Farms and a laundromat at this intersection). Go 2/10 mile on Malta and then turn right onto Chapman Street (Malta Avenue Middle School is on the corner). 44 Chapman is 1/10 mile up on your right. (white house with green shutters)

From the North: There is a bridge being repaired on Malta Avenue (which is usually the road you take to our home from Exit 13) so to keep directions simple, go to take Exit 12 and follow the directions above.
