Request for Video Ideas and Great Fall PLants

As many of you know, I have the pleasure of speaking on Proven Winners’ behalf at many events. The company is always working on breeding better plants and helping gardeners have more success and fun in the garden. One of Proven Winners 2015 goals is to produce more how-to gardener videos. To help them decide what videos to create, they’ve asked me to reach out to my gardening audience – YOU! Your feedback on the following two questions will be used in producing these helpful segments.

What gardening challenges are you facing this season?

What gardening video topic would help you be more successful next year?

Please email your responses to my friend Jeanine at Proven Winners. Her email is jeanine@provenwinners.com. Please put ‘Response to how-to video survey’ in the subject line. The deadline for submissions is September 30.

To thank you for taking the time to submit feedback, Proven Winners will draw the names of four lucky winners to receive a Waterwise kit that has a $30 value. And while we are talking about solutions, why not solve the problem of ho-hum, tired looking summer containers by freshening them up with some sassy fall standouts. Two of my top picks for dressing up containers are coral bells and grasses. Proven Winners Dolce coral bell series has seven different eye-popping choices to choose from. All of these have a spot in my garden, but if pressed to name my favorites, I would pick ‘Cinnamon Curls’ (pictured lower right), ‘Blackberry Ice’ and ‘Peach Melba’. And although I’m a ‘perennialist’ at heart, nothing compares to some of Proven Winners annual grasses for making a splash in containers. ‘Fireworks’ Pennisetum (pictured upper right), Purple Fountain Grass and ‘Red Riding Hood’ Pennisetum, Fiber Optic Grass (pictures on left) and ‘Blue Mohawk’ Juncus (hardy to Zone 5) are ooh –la-la.
