June & July Garden Tours in the Capital Region (NY)

There are some great garden tours
scheduled in June and July, all of which raise money for terrific not-for-profit
organizations.  Don’t delay in purchasing tickets for these or you may get
closed out.

Soroptimist International of
Schenectady’s Garden Tour.  Saturday, June 9 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00
p.m.  Rain or shine.  Nine beautiful and diverse gardens are being featured in
Schenectady County.  Tickets are $12 in advance (buy five and get one free!); $15 the day of the tour.  Garden tour
tickets go on sale May 5 and may be purchased at many local merchants as well as
by mail by going to the Soroptimist’s web site at
www.soroptimistofschenectady.org.  More information about the tour is also on
this site.   In addition, my gardening books will be for sale at the tour
with a portion of every book sold being donated to Soroptimist. For tour

Soroptimist International of
Saratoga’s 18th Secret Garden Tour. Sunday, July 8.  Rain or shine. 
11 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Creative urban spaces, lush suburban gardens, fabulous water
features & more.  Tickets are $18 in advance; $20 the day of tour.  Tickets
may be purchased at Saratoga Springs Visitor Center the month of June.  You may
also order online and get more information at www.soroptimistsaratoga.org.  I
will be doing a book signing and answering questions from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at
one of the gardens featured on the tour.  A portion of every book sold will
be donated to Soroptimist.
