Host a Flower Garden Design Class for Free

Last month I kicked off in-depth garden design and remarkable plants workshops in four states. Feedback has been wonderful from two of the five classes already held. People loved learning more about how to assess a garden’s sunlight, improving soil health, selecting plants for waves of color spring through fall; sketching a simple, drawn-to-scale design on graph paper, and creating striking winter landscapes. The class also features colorful, low-maintenance perennials, annuals, bulbs and flowering shrubs. Check out the upcoming classes this Sunday, March 5 at Merrifield Garden Center in Fairfax, VA; Sunday, March 19 at Russell’s Garden Center in Wayland, MA and Saturday, June 3 at Holdridge Garden Center in Ledyard, CT.
