Holllister House Gardens is a MUST Visit

Last week I excitedly opened the winter issue of Garden Design and was once again treated to a collection of stunningly beautiful photographs complemented with valuable design and plant tips. The first feature I dove into was about Hollister House Gardens in Litchfield County, Connecticut. (photo by Ngoc Minh Ngo)

This 25-acre public garden has long been on my bucket list, but now it is at the TOP of my list. George Schoellkopf is the artist and mastermind behind this exuberant American interpretation of great English gardens like Great Dixter. Schoellkopf has lived here for 39 years and continues to plan new features, including an informal pass where visitors can stand in the meadow and look back across the gardens. This 16-page article is filled with lovely spring photos of the grounds. Click here to learn more about Hollister House Gardens and times to visit.

Thank you Garden Design for continuing to provide exceptional features that enthrall the eye and offer practical tips on how to bring sustainable beauty to our own yards.
