CHEF NATHAN LYON
I had the joy of meeting Nathan Lyon last month when we were both speaking at a Master Gardeners Symposium in Indiana. Nathan is an Emmy nominated chef known to television viewers across the country for his simple, innovative cuisine featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients. He has hosted or co-hosted many television shows, including Growing A Greener World (PBS); Good Food America with Nathan Lyon, and A Lyon in the Kitchen (Discovery Health and Fit TV). He gave an outstanding cooking demonstration at the symposium – packed with great information, tips and humor.
His cookbook, Great Food Starts Fresh, made the Washington Post’s esteemed “Top Cookbooks” list. The 350-page cookbook features fresh, seasonal ingredients—with 135 delicious recipes and photos. Not surprisingly, his cookbook sold out at the symposium. I have already ordered two books for my sisters, and have a ruhttp://www.chefnathanlyon.com/nning list of others that will be getting it as Christmas presents! To learn more about Nathan and to order his ‘work-of-art’ cookbook (only $35 plus shipping), visit http://www.chefnathanlyon.com/.
