Brent and Becky’s Bulbs Offers More than Just Bulbs!

Spring, summer and fall blooming bulbs are such an easy way to add a dash of color to the landscape. One of my FAVORITE companies for ordering bulbs is Brent and Becky’s Bulbs, a fourth generation family business based in Gloucester, VA.

Brent and Becky are highly respected horticulturists in the green industry. They are lovely, kind, generous people who are committed to providing the superior plants and customer service for their customers.

If you think that ‘all’ they carry are a huge variety of bulbs, you would be WRONG! They also offer amazing perennials, tropicals, annuals and seeds. Included in their inventory is Spigelia marilandica (commonly called Indian Pink), one of the sassy native perennials I spoke about in last month’s webinar.

This brilliant red flower with yellow lips offers a burst of color for the shade garden. It is pretty flexible when it comes to soil conditions, holding its own in moist to dry soil in part sun to shade. The flowers are adored by hummingbirds.
