A Bucket List Must For Gardeners!

The Proven Winners Grand Garden Show on Mackinac Island in northern Michigan is an over-the-top event on an enchanting island. I have yet to meet an attendee that hasn’t raved about this unique experience! The Grand Garden Show – Sunday, August 26 through Tuesday, August 28 – features outstanding lectures at the impressive Grand Hotel plus tours of enchanting private gardens. The whole experience is a step back in time as you immerse yourself in an ‘island life’ free of cars, with only horse-drawn carriages and bicycles for transportation.

The Show once again includes a special pre-show, 3-hour flower garden program that I will be teaching on Sunday afternoon, August 26, from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. The two featured lectures are The Budget-Wise Gardener (based on my most recent book) and Save the Pollinators: “Attractive” Landscapes for Pollinators and Homeowners! The 3-hour class includes lecture handouts, plant catalogs, refreshments and door prizes. The registration fee is $55 per person. The registration for this program is separate from the Grand Garden Show.

You have the option of purchasing Grand Garden Show packages at the Grand Hotel that include accommodations and meals, or you can purchase day-only tickets where you can stay at other island properties or at off island hotels and take the ferry to the daily programming.
